Woman in Wheelchair Struck by Vehicle in Phoenix Hit-And-Run

October 31, 2019 – PHOENIX, AZ – Car accident badly injures woman in a wheelchair.

Fox 10 Phoenix has reported that a woman in a wheelchair was badly injured when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver at around 5 a.m. while she was trying to cross 43rd Avenue near Indian School Road.

“The vehicle fled the scene of the collision and currently officers are working to gather further information on the vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with very serious injuries,” stated Phoenix Police Sgt. Mercedes Fortune.

CBS 5/AZ Family said that during the investigation, 43rd Avenue will be restricted between Indian School Road and Clarendon.

The woman was left with very serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Officials are working to gather information about the vehicle and have not passed along further details about the crash.
